"Hi! I'm Deb... are you ready to SPARKLE?!"
Let's create the second of my four 'Showgirl Pumpkins'!
Using my favorite decorating tool - paint -
I glammed up an item I already had in my stash,
which made it a pretty cheap makeover!
The only thing I bought for this was a small bottle of gold glitter glue.
Read More for my easy tutorial...
Here's a close-up shot of what we're making:

The graphic reflective beaded shapes and star-shaped sparkles
of the top & skirt worn by Taylor in Kansas City on her Eras Tour.
Materials:
a ceramic or styrofoam pumpkin . orange spray paint
paint brushes + various colors of acrylic paint
(I used gold, white, medium orange, light apricot)
gold glitter glue (mine has stars!)

Method:
First, paint your pumpkin orange, if it isn't already.
Mine was green - and it isn't actually a pumpkin, it's a round vase.
I added a champagne cork as a stem to the hole in the vase
to make it look like a pumpkin!

(I painted all four of the pumpkins in this series at once,
with the same orange paint... it looks different on each one!)

I used my favorite gold paint - Folk Art Antique Gold -
to paint the champagne cork. This stuff covers SO well!
Next, we'll paint 'swatches' of varied colors onto the orange pumpkin.
I used a flat soft-bristled brush for this, so the shapes are irregular
but the brush gets a lot of paint onto the surface.
I applied one color at a time, and let each dry before applying a second coat.
Once all colors were completely dry,
I moved on to the final step:

A small bottle of gold glitter glue is the final touch.
I used a small pointed brush to dip into the bottle and grab glue,
then spread it in lines, similar to the paint lines, all around the pumpkin.
This stuff was THICK, so it took overnight to dry.
Then I added a second coat of the glue to the same areas,
and let it dry overnight.
After the pumpkin was dry, the gold stem got a coat of the glue,
using a thick flat brush to spread the glitter out over the surface.
... and then I added a vintage orange beaded clip earringthen spread it in lines, similar to the paint lines, all around the pumpkin.

Then I added a second coat of the glue to the same areas,
and let it dry overnight.
After the pumpkin was dry, the gold stem got a coat of the glue,
using a thick flat brush to spread the glitter out over the surface.
just because the beads reminded me of Taylor's dress.
It's just sitting on the top, but hot glue could make it permanent.
If I had torn off the earring clip,
I could have glued the beaded part of the earring to the TOP of the stem...
but I actually wear these!
(Because all of us deserve some glam ;) )
Again, yours don't have to be Orange!
Black, White, Green, and Purple are also Halloween colors,
OR you can create yours to match YOUR decor.
