Pyrex Pattern Easter Eggs

These happy Easter eggs were inspired by vintage Pyrex bowls
AND by two previous projects I've created inspired by the same bowls.

'Inspiration comes from everywhere' is a phrase many creatives use -
and it's certainly true for me, as well as 'inspiration comes from nature'.
Another source of inspiration for me is my own previous projects.
I love using similar concepts and elements from my stash
to create new 'home decor that's not from a store' in different seasons!

The 'Butterfly Gold' Pyrex pattern has two simple elements
that are very easy to replicate : butterflies and flowers. 

I used artist's acrylic paints and a round brush,
along with an alcohol pen to add the details:

The eggs themselves are ceramic,
previously painted with a faux 'kintsugi' treatment,
so I repainted three of them white
(in an eggshell finish, naturally!)
before getting started with the details.

One additional egg was painted in an 'egg yolk yellow' hue,
and a thick stripe of that color was painted onto a white egg.

Adding the floral and butterfly motifs was made simple
using a yellow alcohol ink pen and a very thin paint brush
with a watery consistency white paint:

My goal was to use the elements in a different way on each egg...

The yellow band was accented with a line of white daisy flowers,
and the solid yellow egg displays a single white butterfly.

One white egg has dancing yellow butterflies all over it,
while the other has a row of two sizes of yellow daisies circling the egg.

With the addition of some yellow paper shred and other color-coordinated eggs,
the Pyrex bowls become Easter 'baskets' and display the eggs perfectly!
