in my last post, i shared my new 'sweet sweater kakamora'
along with a 'flashback' to a previously unseen 'sweet sweater sandbaby':
so i grabbed some bright beach buckets, white beach hats,
one last tan sweater from my stash, and one tan chenille 'sweet sweater pumpkin'
and started playing around....
and started playing around....
the happy result was these three adorable beach babies in colorful buckets!
oh, but wait... i didn't stop there! keep reading to see what happened NEXT!
you KNEW that was coming, right?! of course Deb is going to incorporate Disney!
i swapped out the beach hats for some of the Mickey Mouse ears in my collection.
then i decided that the baby in front is a bit too big for those lil' black ears.
( which are a keychain, actually)
so i made a tiny new baby using one of my Sweet Sweater Snowmen ornaments,
switched the hats around after adding another one,
and now i have a whole family of Sweet Sweater Sandbabies
(the Sandersons, naturally)
ready for their trip to the Happiest Place on Earth:
i arranged them on the sideboard in my studio/office to snap photos -

and i love them here SO much that they aren't going ANYWHERE.
these are very simple to make, using thrifted tan sweaters and polyfill stuffing.

my free Sweet Sweater Pumpkin tutorial will show you how to make the rounded forms -
just use steps 1 through 4, with no strings.
pop them upside down into a bucket or pail, then add your own accessories.
maybe ball caps? a set of BEATS headphones? a gaming headset?!
(oh my gosh..... i JUST got an idea for another version. it's a sickness, i tell you!)
so now there's THIS possibility for summer:
now what do i call these? Sweet Sweater Pops!!! LOL

(i love that thick wonky yarn.... it's from a thrifted sweater that i unraveled.)
see? you really CAN use whatever you have on hand
to create a summer decor accent that's sure to make you smile!
