"Hi! I'm Deb... are you ready to SPARKLE?!"
Let's create the last of my four 'Showgirl Pumpkins'!
'4' has been completely re-done - AGAIN!
She has been bright warm yellow,
white with painted gold kintsugi 'cracks',
white with brown-tone painted florals, also plain white,
and originally she was a weird orange at the thrift store.

In ALL of her 'former costumes', 4 has been lovely...
but now, she's really ready for the spotlight!

Here's a close-up shot of what we're making:

The orange + burgundy + pink sparkling sequin jumpsuit
worn by Taylor in Nanterre, France on her Eras Tour.
Materials:
a ceramic, glass, or clay pumpkin
orange spray paint . gold metallic paint
gold glitter glue . orange glitter glue
chunky metallic sequined cardstock paper (1 sheet)
scissors . clear glue

If your pumpkin isn't orange to start with,
grab a can of orange spray paint and give it a good coating.

I painted all four of the pumpkins in this series at once,
with the same orange paint... it looks different on each one!
I used my favorite gold paint, Folk Art Antique Gold.
When the stem is dry, use a brush to apply gold glitter glue
to the entire top half of the pumpkin -
start out thickest on the very top, then go a bit lighter on the sides
so that the glitter 'fades' out lower on the pumpkin.
Let's make some large-scale glittery confetti!

Cut a strip @ 2" wide from the sheet of metallic sequined cardstock.
The piece I chose has red, pink, gold, copper, and white sequins -
it was the closest I could get to the look of Taylor's outfit shown above.
Using sharp scissors, cut small circles from that strip
in at least two different sizes - mine are @ 1/4 and 1/8 inch diameter circles.
I cut twenty four circles total for my medium-sized pumpkin.
I also cut a few very thin strips from the metallic paper,
then cut those into small squares.
Using clear glue, apply the confetti circles around the top of the pumpkin,
spacing them out randomly as you work your way down the sides -
allowing them to 'fade out' about 2/3 of the way down the sides.

Then fill in between them with some of the small square confetti pieces.
Last, add some orange glitter glue 'dots',
randomly placing them between the confetti circles,
and more down the sides of the pumpkin.
You can see in this final photo how the glitter + confetti 'fades out'
toward the bottom half on the sides of the pumpkin:

I gave her a ruffly flounce skirt, just for fun!
I hope you have enjoyed these four fun pumpkin designs,
and that they've inspired you to enjoy this current trend in a new way.
I thought I should 'enhance' their 'final bow'...
