rustic holiday tablescape

designed to coordinate with the contemporary rustic style of our 'tree' theme,
as seen in the faux wood junk trees in the background,
this tablescape is a study in simplicity...
wood tones & textures, clear glass, and mixed hues stand out amongst minimal foliage/greenery.

the bonus? this style is REALLY easy and fast to create!

'continue reading' to see the details up close...
natural linen fabric table runner and napkins have tones and texture that echo the whitewashed blonde wood of my farmhouse table.
those white dishes - that i bought at a Mikasa outlet over two decades ago -
fit right into the contemporary look.
slender gold flatware and a gold napkin ring - as an ornament placeholder! -
have the same warm tones as the copper & bronze ornaments.
there's the 'official' Christmas tree in the background - much smaller than our usual.
only a few copper, bronze, and clear glass ornaments were needed to make it sparkle
with simple contemporary style.

(read my last post to see how i used the ornaments that DIDN'T end up on the tree!)

the wood piece holding the candles is an antique 'sugar mold' - our very first purchase for the new house!
the 'greenery' here is just some small branches from an old white tree, found at the thrift store.
they coordinate with our white tree and keep the look light and crisp.

all in all, it took me about twenty minutes to pull this table together. easy!

  1. Very pretty and I like how understated the tablescape is. Easy on the eye. The tree ornaments scattered around the centerpiece supply the texture that make it all interesting. I love the coppery colors.

Thanks for sharing your tablescape and Happy Christmas and New Year's!
