those thin strips of patterned vinyl were perfect for this 'bonus' project:

all i needed to complete this easy project was those vinyl placemat scraps,
scissors, a hole punch, and a tassel.
i made my tassel using some yellow cording that i also found at Dollar Tree...

i cut the two wider side scraps into rectangles, then punched a hole in the top edge of both.
attaching the tassel with a piece of cord through the hole was simple -

a length of ribbon or cording tied through it would be even simpler.
these vinyl bookmarks aren't going to warp, fold, wrinkle, or get stained...
perfect for upcoming beach trips!
