i don't just make things from repurposed materials -
i re-use the things i MAKE, too!
this wreath includes two of my recent fall decor projects
PLUS an element that i used several years ago (posts linked below)
to create a new look for this November.
perfect for a front door or hanging on a wall in your home,
it's an easy project perfect for these fall days.
the wreath form is actually a salvaged metal fan housing
(fan broke, so i disassembled it, threw out the motor, and kept the wire frame halves!)
and it makes this project SO easy...
after i figured out where i wanted the pumpkins to be placed,
i added leaves between and behind them -
the larger leaves are crepe paper on wire stems (Dollar Tree) that wrap around the frame.
the yellow leaves were from a thrifted flower bunch.
the yellow leaves were from a thrifted flower bunch.
the two palm plate pumpkins i chose were then put in place,
held by some strong duct tape on the back of them -
and the edge of the plate tucked nicely behind the front rim!
i hung my wreath from a simple metal wreath hanger - available everywhere.
it simply comes through the back wires and tucks behind the outer rim.
as a finishing touch, i added two small branches of scrap paper leaves
by just pushing them behind the other leaves.
if you wish to add a message to your wreath,
grab some wood laser-cut words available at craft stores...
they're lightweight and easy to adhere with a bit of glue, duct tape, or wire
and you can paint them any color you choose.
(disclaimer: these were added in my graphics program ;) )
