boho style is everywhere, and as pretty as it is, it can be PRICEY!
i much prefer to create something using what i have on hand already -
which isn't just budget-friendly. it's earth-conscious, too.
this easy wreath project is a perfect accent for August... the 'golden hour' of summer.

two bleached reed wreaths were tied together with string,
a hanging loop of hemp ribbon was added to the top,
then i added some fanciful 'flowers' and 'leaves' made from re-purposed items
to create a whimsical boho-style wreath for display on a door or wall.
as usual, everything is temporarily attached (no glue) - so i can use it again.
every element is tied on with string, easy to remove when i am done with this look.
and if the elements used in this wreath look rather familiar, here's why:
they all made an appearance in my last post!
yep, i dismantled the crochet lace vase project and used everything for a new project...
the only thing i didn't use was the wood beads. they just didn't work on the wreath.

from the left:
* the 'paisley-shaped' scalloped edge of the crochet doily used as a vase wrap.
i folded it into a bow! (and i think those scallops look rather like leaves...)
* the delicate oval lace doily flower and the light yellow faux flowers (Dollar Tree!)
* 'carnations' made from a set of cotton tassels.

those flowers are all very simple to make -
