flowers are always on my mind in springtime...
and they are one of my favorite things to create.
this month, i'm excited to revisit some of the flowers i've made in the past
(and whooooo have there been a lot of them - some shown above)
and create different flowers for something NEW:

the 'May Month of Flowers Instagram Challenge'!

continue reading to find out the details!
the challenge is hosted by artists Lori Siebert, Kristen Katz Art, and Snippets of Whimsy,
with the aim to follow the prompts and create art with varied floral themes -
each day of the month is assigned flowers, in alphabetical order
(for example, day 1 is 'Aster. Azalea. Agapanthus.',
day 2 is 'Bachelors' Button. Buttercup. Bleeding Heart.', and so on.)
you create and post on the days you can,
use the hashtag #flowermonth2022 ,
and meet a lot of creative people in the process!

due to a camping trip in our little trailer and a few other commitments,
i am not able to post something every day in May -
but i do have some projects planned:

flowers,garden art,paper crafts,painting,trash to treasure,up-cycling,re-purposing,crafting,DIY,diy decorating,art,art class,creativity,spring,wreaths,Instagram,art challenge, yellow flowers,yellow.

my approach to this challenge will be what i always do:
re-purposing / up-cycling 'everyday' items and materials
to create something beautiful - in this case, flowers.
simple flowers. i'm just having fun with this.

...and yes, i will be sticking to my current yellow obsession!
flowers,garden art,paper crafts,painting,trash to treasure,up-cycling,re-purposing,crafting,DIY,diy decorating,art,art class,creativity,spring,wreaths,Instagram,art challenge, yellow flowers,yellow.
my first IG post for the challenge will be on May 2 with a 'buttercup'
( i admit that when i chose that flower, i envisioned then as part of a larger piece of art -
so then i made THAT!)

i'll try to share a few of the new projects here on the blog,
as well as a recap at the end of the month.

wanna' join in the fun??
