i'm pulling one out of the archives today,
sharing a look back at this lovely Thanksgiving tablescape from 2014
(plus links to a few others!)
continue reading for some Thanksgiving table looks inspired by nature...
inspired by the soft sage-y green tones of the pumpkins,
i gathered up foliage from the yard and some produce from the farmer's market.

paired with green linens, the natural theme welcomes everyone to the table.
the engraved pumpkin came from a vintage show vendor,
and is a perfect finishing touch for a Thanksgiving tablescape...
scratch a word or image into the skin of a pumpkin while growing,
and it will scar over and remain visible after the pumpkin is ready for harvest!

(or use a tan paint pen to write on a pumpkin from the store 😉 )
the table is swathed in a soft celery-green damask tablecloth,
and the floral/leaf pattern on it repeats the natural theme.
a darker sage green is seen in the napkins.
white dinnerware and cut glass are the simplest of elements,
but they allow the seasonal elements to sparkle.
natural elements heaped onto and around a large white china pedestal
give height to the center of the arrangement,
and the tiny bit of gold edging that shows adds more sparkle.
creamy white candles in clear glass containers don't compete for attention,
but add their warm, welcoming light to the scene.
may your Thanksgiving table be the setting
an autumn picnic
