[if you're not old like me, you may not remember that song from the 90's,
recorded by friends (who later married) Amy Grant and Vince Gill.
it's an earworm, so if you want to hear it, there's a link after the post!]
this project is a re-use of something i first created last January -
i've just changed it a bit and added to it. i love re-making old projects!
continue reading to see the before/after...
i picked it up, took it home, and eventually in January of 2020, i got an idea...
because my theme for the year was going to be 'Happy Home',
i added two of my Grandma's old wood rulers to create a peaked 'roof'
and then in February i added a red tissue paper heart.
that simple change inspired what i did THIS year,
which was to add a new yellow heart cut from paint chips.
then i painted on three letters, to spell LOVE - with the heart being the 'O'.
it's no longer hanging on our gallery wall,
but looks terrific in my newly-restyled office/studio!
which would make them removable so the wood is re-usable in another project!
(and you know how i LOVE that!)
i put some yellow paper hearts on something else, too -
my small village of white ceramic houses. now i have MORE 'houses of love':
it's so easy to update old decor and give it a new look each season!
